A history maker last year, becoming the first female Macau GP motorcycle race participant, Nadieh Schoots is ultra excited about sampling for the second time, the iconic 3.9 miles long Guia Circuit.
Linking up with previous Northwest 200, Manx Grand Prix participants Basomba Racing, piloting R1 Yamaha tackle, her steed will carry the 49-plate, as a tribute to the late great Raul Torras.
Commenting about Guia Circuit participation for Ramon Basomba’s outfit, who she has competed for previously across the 24 Hours of Catalunya event, Dutch ace Schoots said:
“To say I’m excited to return to Macau is an understatement – last year everything was very last minute and chaotic, and I was struggling with health issues.
Once out on track it felt more like I was surviving instead of racing, I hadn’t even been able to ride any bike or work out for the 3 months leading up to the event!
To me it feels more like this will be my true debut at the Macau Grand Prix, and I’m happy to do it with Basomba Racing.
We had a positive test at Alcarras with their Yamaha R1 and are ready to race!”
