Evoking memories of the feats achieved by international road racing legends such as Steve Hislop, Robert Dunlop and Trevor Nation, a rotary Norton steed is set to again grace the Classic Superbike Manx GP class, thanks to event regulars Wiz Norton Racing.
Last year, long term team rider Richard Wilson took the great sounding machine to a respectable eleventh place finish.
Wilson, who surpassed for the first time at TT 2023, the 125-mph lap mark, is not competing this August.
His place astride the Wiz Norton has gone to 130 mph club member, Banbridge’s Shaun Anderson.
Commenting via Facebook, Anderson who led the 1000cc races Suzuki challenge, during this year’s TT Races, stated:
“I was lucky enough to ride the Norton at the classic endurance at Spa a few years ago which was a dream come true.
So, to have the opportunity to ride it again at the island was something i just could not turn down.
I would like to thank Andy and Richard Wilson at Wiz Norton for giving me this fantastic opportunity.”
