Manx GP Top 6: Richard Stubbs

Rostrum finisher, multi times a top five finisher at the Southern 100, improving Stone based MGP exponent Richard Stubbs is the next competitor to take part in Road Racing News, rising in popularity Manx GP Top 6 series.

Eighth in the Newcomers A Manx Grand Prix of 2017, his answers to the Mountain Course themed set of questions are as follows:

Q1: When you first competed at the Manx, what was your first initial thought of the Mountain Course?

“Everything I expected it to be and more. The best thing in the world.”

Q2: Most memorable Manx GP bike?

“The R6 (Yamaha) I ride. She handles like a dream.”

Q3: Most treasured memory from the Manx?

“Getting the first race and replica finish under my belt. Something to show the grand kids when I have grown up a bit.”

Q4: Is there one specific Manx GP competitor that you look up to?

“Everyone that rides round there has the same risks no matter how fast you are going which deserves equal respect.”

Q5: Describe the Manx GP in one word?

“Ballsy”

Q6: Finally, if you could race one machine from any series, championship around the Mountain Course, what would it be?

“BMW S1000RR carbon, that should scare me!”
