Leading the family run team’s pursuit of top rate results in the Classic Superbike races, are Rob Hodson and Derek Sheils.
Late last month, Wigan’s Hodson took third in the Classic Superbike Manx Grand Prix race whilst team-mate Sheils on his Mountain Course racing return, chalked up a top ten finish.
The duo who’s racing CV’s feature three Irish Road Race Superbike Championship titles, ‘130 Mph Club’ TT membership, race wins a plenty at Scarborough, Gold Cup tackle is potent ZXR 750 Kawasaki machinery.
The ones to beat last year (2022 Steve Henshaw Gold Cup), the yesteryear SBK opposition knows they will have to be at their absolute best to stop Hodson, Sheils from exerting their authority again.
It’s under three weeks now till Gold Cup action embeds itself on the Mount.
In addition to Hodson, Sheils, others to have recently disclosed their intention to compete this month include Lissy Whitmore, Garry Broughton, Bailey Harker, prospective circuit newcomers Paul Cassidy and Chris Ganley.
