CMR racing are planning to run an up and coming rider at the 2015 Manx Grand Prix. The team run by Craig Robertson are set to give a rider a big opportunity competing on a ZX7R Kawasaki in newcomers A and senior races.

The ZX7R Kawasaki was part of Manx Grand Prix history in 2005 as Alan Jackson competing for Wilson & Colins racing set new outright lap record lapping at 122.208 mph as he went onto record third place finish in senior race.

Alongside competing at the Manx GP next year CMR racing are also aiming to compete at classic TT races again on Kawasaki machinery in conjunction with Irish classic superbike team Rash racing, whilst also planning on competing at the Barry Sheene road race festival at Oliver’s Mount.

Craig said on his teams plans for 2015

‘Racing has always been in my blood, however as someone who didn’t get to race from a young age I know that its frustrating, and a lot of really promising young riders who want to get a taste of the mountain course for the first time at the Manx GP are left frustrated at having to buy machinery just for the event, to only then struggle for funds during it, so I am prepared to offer the bike and back up for one of the two lads we currently have in the frame, one of whom made his Oliver’s Mount debut recently and got results that really made people take notice.’

Having nearly made their mountain course debut in 2014 Craig Robertson’s team are greatly looking forward to their first year of competition on the most famous road racing circuit in the world.
