TT Winners, Rising Stars, Up Coming Talents Praise New Look ‘Welsh TT’

Since the announcement of roads action returning to the 5.25 miles long roads of the Brecon Beacons based Eppynt course, the new look ‘Welsh TT’ has attracted praise a plenty from multiple high profile international roads figures.

This includes TT greats such as John McGuinness, Steve Plater who is event Rider Liaison and Safety director, Sidecar legend Dan Sayle and six times international road race winner Peter Hickman.

Over the weekend at Motorcycle Live, over 80 riders including various rising stars, up coming talents and an abundance of experienced competitors expressed an interest in sampling next year competition at the UK’s newest roads meet.

This is extremely positive news for event organisers, who are aiming to have grids per class of at minimum 35 to 40 racers.

Speaking about the huge interest in the reawakening of the ‘Welsh TT’, Eppynt Welsh Road Race Facilities and Sponsorship Director, Phil Morris said:

“The interest from the road race competitors, who attended the opening weekend of ‘Motorcycle Live’, many of whom compete regularly on ‘pure’ road courses has been very encouraging, and we are delighted that over 80 have confirmed their intention to be on the grid next August.”
