Respected team owners Danny Tomlinson (DTR) and Billy McKinstry (McKinstry Racing) are joining forces to run up coming New Zealand roads star Daniel Mettam, next year at the marque international events, Southern 100 and selected Irish nationals.
Auckland resident Mettam a former national Supersport champion, caught the eye of many last year at the famous Wanganui based Cemetery Circuit.
Third and fourth in the Superbike encounters, he more than mixed it with the likes of Scott Moir, perennial Tri Series championship contender Sloan Frost, TT Privateers champion Horst Saiger and Mountain Course lap record holder Michael Dunlop.

TT, North West 200 and Ulster Grand Prix bound for 2018, his maiden UK/Isle of Man based roads campaign next year will see him pilot two of the most successful machines to grace the real roads scene in recent years, in the form of Kawasaki’s majestic ER6 and BMW’s ultra quick and competitive S1000RR.
New co employer Danny Tomlinson who is also keen to the New Zealander on a Supersport 600, is looking forward to working with the highly rated Mettam.
He said:
“Both me and Billy (McKinstry) are absolutely delighted to be working with Daniel next season. Arriving in March straight from a full season in New Zealand he will be fully up to speed for the start of the Irish events.”
