Practice/Race Schedule Remains The Same For TT 2018

The TT Races practice and race schedule will remain unchanged for 2018, with competitors again having nine chances to claim wins at the world’s most famous road race.

Taking place from the 26th of May to the 8th of June, each practice session will once again take place in the evening from 6:20 PM through to 8:50 PM.

Race week is scheduled to begin on the 2nd of June, with the RST Superbike followed by the opening sidecar race, whilst Friday of race week remains ‘Championship Day’ featuring the second Sidecar and blue riband Pokerstars Senior races.

Speaking recently about TT 2018, Mountain Course lap record holder Michael Dunlop ominously stated his confidence of contending for six wins from six starts, he stated:

“The way I look at it is that I’ve got six more chances to win at next year’s TT and as with every other year I set out to try and take all of them.

I’m happy at the TT, I know the set up and what I’m doing there. The programme suits me and when I’m on form and everything’s right, I feel like the races are mine to lose.”

Alongside the 15 times TT winner, a who’s who of road racing will be returning to the Mountain Course including the likes of Bruce Anstey, Peter Hickman, James Hillier, Josh Brookes, David Johnson, Michael Rutter, Dan Kneen, Conor Cummins, Dean Harrison, Gary Johnson, Radcliffe’s Racing’s Jamie Coward, Ivan Lintin, William Dunlop and Lee Johnston.

Plus fitness permitting 16 times and 23 times TT winners Ian Hutchinson and John McGuinness and Sidecars stars such as the all the conquering Birchall brothers Ben and Tom, Dave Molyneux/Patrick Farrance, John Holden/Lee Cain, Conrad Harrison and Tim Reeves/Mark Wilkes.
