Ian Lougher Set To Make Oliver’s Mount Return

Winner of over 110 races around Oliver’s Mount Ian Lougher is set to return to action around the unique road race circuit at the 2015 Spring Cup National Road Races.

Ten times TT races winner Ian is set to compete on a moto 3 Honda in lightweight races, the 2014 classic TT races proved that the road racing hero had lost none of his determination, talent and ability.

Victory in 500 classic TT was secured following a superb all round performance on Flitwick motorcycles backed Paton.

Formula 2 race would see Ian clinch his second classic TT win, over the years the ever popular rider has been involved in multiple famous races.

Which include dicing for race victory in opening supersport race at the Ulster Grand Prix with John McGuinness, Bruce Anstey and Adrian Archibald.

In the last ten years main highlights for Ian in road racing have included solo championship victories at Southern 100 in 2005,2007 and 2008. Supersport race 2 victory at TT 2005 as Ian provided the DMRR Honda team with their only TT win to date.

His exceptional record around Oliver’s Mount has seen him win pretty much everything around the mount, amongst a huge collection of standout moments include gold cup victory in 2002.

Plus winning a closely contested supersport race at the 2008 Scarborough gold cup as Ian led home TT legend John McGuinness, Guy Martin, Ryan Farquhar and William Dunlop.

Its great news for all Oliver’s Mount fans that Ian Lougher is back in action at the road race circuit considered by many to be a mini TT at this years Spring Cup National Road Races.
