William Dunlop got his 2015 road racing season off to a victorious start as he won the supersport invitational race at the 2015 Cookstown 100.
Ivan Curran/CD Racing backed YZF R6 Yamaha never missed a beat as William clinched a comprehensive race win finishing comfortably in front of his nearest pursuers.
Dean Harrison on Mar Train Racing YZF R6 Yamaha finished an excellent second as he recorded a new personal best result around Cookstown.
Rounding out the top three finishers was Burrows Engineering Racing’s Jamie Hamilton who finished the leading non YZF R6 Yamaha mounted rider.
James Cowton dazzled finishing in fourth place finishing narrowly behind Dean Harrison and Jamie Hamilton as he produced one the standout performances in the race on his own teams CBR 600 Honda.
Derek Mcgee finished a solid fifth on Wilson Craig Racing’s CBR 600 Honda whilst Derek Sheils who holds pole position for open race completed the top six.
Andy Lawson showed good form on Shirlaws motorcycles racing ZX6R Kawasaki as he finished a fine seventh.
Two time junior Manx Grand Prix winner Michael Sweeney finished eighth, Seamus Elliott was a battling ninth whilst Brian Mccormack concluded the top ten finishers.
